Brunel House is currently being converted from a disused former MoD office block to 153 modern apartments. The original build, built in the 1960's has been derelict for the past 30 years and this construction scheme will be a welcome upgrade to the area surrounding Gunwharf Keys, with complementing views of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Once complete, there will be a mixture of retail space, student accommodation, and residential apartments.
Vale Southern Construction, appointed as main contractor for this scheme has been working closely with the client to ensure the building work is considerate to local residents and workers. Vale has been engaging with students from the University of Portsmouth, with several visits taking place for the students to understand more about work on live sites and the benefits of a career in a growing and exciting construction industry.
