Formation of Annexe, Tribunal Room and Alterations to Occupied Office Accommodation

This £130k contract was carried out over a five month period and involved working in three areas of an occupied Mental Health Hospital.

The first phase comprise an Annexe adjoining a live ward, for staff offices, which required careful segregation between patients and contractors during the works.

The next phase was the formation of the Tribunal Room adjoining a busy corridor which included some structural works as well as a fit-out. On the first floor, a number of occupied offices were upgraded including new electrical works and data cabling, decorations, floor finishes as well as some minor alterations to some of the offices. This involved de-camping staff from their individual offices to enable the works to proceed and moving them back before starting on the next phase.

Careful planning and close liaison with the management, nursing and office staff was required to ensure the works were completed with minimum of disruption.

In addition, a new staff kitchen was created as well as an enlarged meeting room. The contract was completed on time and without any inconvenience to the running of the Hospital.
