A private homeowner has selected Vale Southern Construction to construct a new residential property in Putney, a stone’s throw from the River Thames.
Situated in the grounds of the client’s own home, the single-storey house will comprise two bedrooms with split level floors. An existing single storey building, currently used as office space, will be demolished by Vale to make way for the new property.
Vale Southern will be working in a highly constrained site to deliver the project. The building will be supported by 29 piles in the ground followed by two concrete slabs. Water and gas membranes will be installed during construction as well as new services.
A specially designed zinc roof will also feature on the new home, crafted at different angles to ensure daylight is not restricted for neighbours.
Inside, the high specification fit out will also be carried out by the Vale Southern team.
Kevin May, Contracts Manager for Vale, said: “This is a hugely challenging project. The site is very close to the Thames and surrounded by other residential properties, leaving very limited room for the works. Deliveries and any parking will need to be very carefully managed by our site team.
Vale Southern is scheduled to complete the project in early December 2023.
The property adds to the team’s growing residential portfolio, which includes luxury new builds and refurbishments across the South and South East.
