IHEEM - HQ
Complete renovation of the HQ

Project case study
The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) is benefiting from improved office accommodation thanks to a refurbishment delivered by Vale Southern Construction.
The 14-week project has revamped the interior of IHEEM’s head office in Portsmouth, which is home to the senior leadership team as well as finance, membership, support and training staff.
Vale Southern has modernised workspaces across two storeys and created a new training area. Constructed with acoustic and glazed partitions, the training facility offers a flexible space as well as room for meetings and storage.
To improve energy efficiency, the contractor has installed a new mechanical and electrical package, including an air source heat pump, LED lighting, a new mechanical ventilation system to improve air quality, and a battery storage solution for electricity.
Pete Sellars, CEO of IHEEM, said: “Vale Southern has successfully enhanced the functionality of our purpose-built office building. In line with our long-term carbon reduction and sustainability goals, the changes incorporate significant modifications to the efficiency of the building and will provide a better environment for collaboration, creativity, and productivity.
