Dawson Lodge
New build five-bedroom home
Project case study
Vale Southern was appointed to meet the brief, committing to a programme of just 24 weeks.
This project demanded the construction of a new-build property in the grounds of another house. The developer required a contractor who could deliver the works quickly and to the highest standard, ensuring the new home met stringent planning requirements.
The team was responsible for building the five-bedroom home, which spans three storeys and features four bathrooms. The scope of works included the interior fit out and associated external works. As part of the project, Vale also designed and installed a mechanical and electrical package, including underfloor heating.
Overlooking the idyllic village of Shamley Green, the new home was subject to strict planning requirements. This meant that Vale Southern had to connect the property to an existing timber garage, reflecting the same architecture.
The design also required the team to lay brickwork featuring a Corbel band with hanging slate tiles. This gave the façade an aesthetic finish that complemented the surrounding area.
In addition, Vale Southern partnered with Mumford & Wood to supply and install bespoke timber windows throughout the home.
