Project Description: A major refurbishment and reconfiguration of student areas, including bedsits, communal areas, a new staircase and circulation areas over 4 floors.

Scope of Works:

The project comprised of the complete refurbishment of Phase 2 areas within Littlefield House. This work included demolitions, major reconfiguration of room and circulation areas, adaption of existing and installation of new services whilst keeping habitable areas live.

The first phase of works was carried out in the Basement area whilst the building was in occupation. This work included forming a new Computer Room, a couple of bedroom suites, and creating new circulation areas and communal toilets and refurbishment of other existing basement areas.

The second phase of works to all the upper floors was carried out during the College summer holiday, which equated to approximately £1m worth of work in eight weeks. This included major reconfiguration of dormitory rooms, communal bathrooms and circulation areas, all with new services. Works also included forming a new front entrance and Dame’s Room extension.
